Alright, patch 26.14 dropped and it's got something for everyone to complain about. Let's break down what actually matters before Season 2 locks up on July 28.
Who Got Nerfed (and Deserved It)
Garen was running wild — his ult was deleting people who weren't even low. Now the damage scales down significantly against targets above 50% HP. He's still strong in lower elos, but the free-kill button got dialed back. Good.
Jayce loses some base MS and armor growth. He was just too safe — poke from range, win trades in melee, never die. The nerfs won't kill him but they'll punish greedy plays more.
Seraphine AP ratios on Q and W got trimmed. Support Sera was turning into an AP carry while still having full utility. Pick your role, one or the other.
Lokk (the new champ) already getting tapped down after one week — base agility reduced. Expected for a fresh release.
Who Got Buffed (Finally)
Corki gets base AD growth back. Classic ADC that's been sitting in the basement for months — let's see if the meta slaves pick him back up.
Nami E damage bump gives her slightly more bite in lane trades. Small change, real difference.
Mordekaiser passive scaling improved. The big man's been underperforming in extended fights — this should fix that.
Yuumi W ally speed boost up by 10%. Your attached carry will feel it in teamfights.
Blue Buff Got Interesting
This is the sleeper change of the patch. Blue Buff now scales with camp level — higher tier camps drop a stronger buff with a bonus CDR chunk. Junglers who keep resetting Blue on cooldown get rewarded, sloppy clears get punished. Might actually change pathing decisions in solo queue.
What This Means for Your Ranked Climb
Season 2 dies July 28. If you're on the edge of a checkpoint, you've got two weeks on this patch. Avoid Garen and Jayce at their old power level — they're still playable but the free wins are gone. ADC players: Corki is worth a shot if you want to get ahead of the meta curve before Season 3.
